Aim:
Initiated in 2008, the ERASMUS Student platform is developed by the National Agency for Community Programmes in the Field of Education and Training, Romania. The main objective of this project is to support the exchange of information among universities, former or current ERASMUS students and all the categories – students or not – who think of applying for an ERASMUS grant.

Within this framework, the project:
- presents information from the ERASMUS offices in the universities from Romania and four other countries (more to come in the future) ;
- allows the development of a free communication space for students;
- gives a “taste of” the ERASMUS programme to newcomers and/or people interested in finding out more about it;
- highlights that learning and studying can be serious and entertaining at the same time;
- encourages networking among students, teachers and institutions that took, take or will take part in the programme.

Target groups:
The ERASMUS Student platform is an integrated virtual environment that addresses:
                    A. European universities
                    B. present or former ERASMUS students
                    C. potential ERASMUS students

A. The universities
Each university has a presentation page where it can enter useful information for incoming ERASMUS students. The interface is friendly and it allows further updates. It is possible to suggest things to do in the university or in the city. Providing images from your university/city will improve your chances to get a better rate from visitors and students.

Please select the university name from the drop-down list, in order to avoid any misspellings and errors.

B. Present or former ERASMUS students
As a former or present ERASMUS student, you can have your own page to present your home and host universities and share experience. You can upload pictures and links for about 1800 ERASMUS cities, and you can inform other students about their best choices regarding places to stay while studying abroad, places to spend free time or to go shopping.
All the suggestions, comments and rankings posted by users can be found on “Give it a break”.


C. Potential ERASMUS students
If you are interested in becoming an ERASMUS student, just log in as a “wannabe” and you’ll be able to find out more about the programme, and to get in contact with real students.
You’ll see why it’s worth it being an ERASMUS student!
